Individual Therapy
Our individual therapy sessions are designed for those seeking personal growth, emotional healing, or navigating life challenges. We work with you to explore your inner world; your thoughts, feelings, memories, dreams, and fantasies (or phantasies!). Whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, or simply seeking self-improvement, our affirmative psychoanalytic approach meets you where you are at and seeks to foster insight and healing.
Relationship & Family Therapy
Relationships are central to our emotional lives and navigating them can be complex. We help partners better understand each other, improve communication, and work through conflicts with respect and empathy. Our therapists explore how unresolved wounds, and unmet needs can create demands and conflicts that get in the way of deeper intimacy. Triads, polycules, and other relationship constellations are welcome!
Group Therapy
Group therapy offers a powerful space for individuals to learn from each other’s experiences in a supportive, collaborative environment. When space is created to deeply listen, and be deeply heard in community, significant change is possible. Our group therapy offerings change over time based on the capacity to form a group, our clinicians’ areas of interest and competence, as well as current needs based on collective minority stressors. We currently have two different groups:
- Bisexual and Pansexual Women’s Therapy Group with Leigh Huggins, MA, AMFT
- Transgender Parents Therapy Group with Mary “Mars” McRae, MA
Clinical Consultation
For licensed clinicians looking to deepen their therapeutic practice, we offer clinical consultation services for mental health professionals. We offer space for you to reflect on your practice, explore challenging cases, and gain support from an experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapy perspective. In addition to individual consultation, we have two consultation groups:
- TRANSference Consultation Group with Cadyn Cathers, PsyD, MBA
- Autistic Affirmative Consultation group with Melissa Dellens, MA, LMFT, TRM-1
Letters of Recommendation for Gender Affirming Medical and Surgical Treatment (GAMST)
Our job is not to assess whether you are “really” transgender or nonbinary or even if this is “right” decision for you. We are not gatekeepers towards medical care for transgender and nonbinary people. What we are assessing for is informed consent. Informed consent means two things: one that you have the capacity to consent, and that you are informed about the decision that you are making. Most of our clinicians have availability within 1-2 weeks of an inquiry for an assessment appointment. If the relevant WPATH SOC 8 criteria are met, then a draft of the letter will be sent within 3 business days.
