What it’s like working with me:
I take a psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approach to therapy, creating a supportive and affirming environment where you feel both understood and challenged. My goal is to help you feel supported as we explore patterns and unconscious dynamics that may be influencing your life. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-awareness and emotional clarity, helping you dig deep into the patterns that may be holding you back.
Because therapy is a space where an individual can show up as their authentic self, it is uniquely tailored to each person. My goal is to collaborate with clients to establish a true feeling of safety and trust so that together we can nourish psychological work.
My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and founded upon a depth-oriented relational framework. That means that in our sessions, we will focus on interpersonal dynamics, existential themes, and here-and-now experiences. I am always listening for personally meaningful images, stories, memories, language, and dreams. Exploring these phenomena can provide insight into the nature of one’s current circumstances and one’s distinctive self.
My community and clinical work leaves me especially attuned to working with:
- Adults navigating career pressures, family dynamics, and personal growth
- Older adults exploring the meaning of their life experiences and preparing for their final chapter of life
- LGBTQIA+ individuals, including transgender people, navigating the complexities of transitioning and coming out
- Neurodivergent clients (autism and ADHD), including helping parents understand and support their neurodivergent children
- Trauma survivors seeking to process and heal in a safe and supportive environment
- High-achieving professionals striving to avoid or recover from burnout and create balance in their lives
- Clients navigating relationship challenges—whether struggling with communication, emotional connection, or patterns of conflict
- Clients diagnosed with cancer navigating the emotional and psychological challenges of treatment and recovery
I’m particularly passionate about supporting transgender clients as they navigate identity and life transitions, helping parents understand and support their LGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent children, and guiding clients toward healing from trauma in a secure and compassionate space.
